Andrea’s practice focuses on estate litigation, commercial litigation and the defence of professional negligence claims. Andrea acts on behalf of estate trustees, attorneys for property/personal care and beneficiaries in Will challenges, passings of accounts, dependants’ relief claims, applications to remove trustees, guardianship applications, and in the interpretation of Wills. Her commercial litigation practice involves breaches of contract, shareholder disputes, debtor/creditor actions, broker/dealer liability and new home warranties. Andrea also defends lawyers in solicitors’ negligence actions across Ontario.

Prior to joining ESB Lawyers, Andrea articled and practised at a prominent Bay Street law firm in Toronto. Before becoming a lawyer, Andrea worked in Washington, D.C. as a legislative assistant to two U.S. Congressmen and as a lobbyist at a national constitutional and civil rights organization.

Andrea is a member of The Advocates’ Society, the Ontario Bar Association, the Hamilton Law Association and the Estate Planners’ Council of Hamilton.  She is a member of the Hamilton Law Association’s Estates and Trusts Subcommittee and has been re-elected for her second term as a Member-at-Large of the OBA’s Trusts and Estates Section Executive for 2017-2018. She is a frequent speaker on various issues relating to estate litigation, commercial litigation and legal practice management.
